A Health Coach since 2014, here is my story:

My journey to health and wellness started in September 2009 when I was invited by a personal trainer to try his bootcamp. At that time I weighed close to 300 pounds. I said sure and he told me I could bring a friend, and to go to his website and register. All I thought I was going to do was exercise. I had no idea I was going to lose weight and transform my body. He gave me a basic eating plan, and some guidelines to follow, and I did the rest.

Over a year I lost about 100 pounds, through exercise and changing my diet. Maintaining a healthy weight has been something I have learned by trial and error. What works for me may not work for another person, because each person is unique and different.

It is my passion to help people take back their health, I am on the preventative side of health care, helping people lose weight and heal their bodies. I work with people (men or women) over the age of 40 who have health problems caused by being overweight, or just an unhealthy diet. Problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, etc. can be serious and life-threatening. Basically, if you are overweight or have health issues, and would like to change these issues, together we can make positive changes. Here are pictures from my weight loss with dates and weight. This is a total weight loss of 70 pounds and I have kept it off since November 2021. My weight fluctuates up and down slightly within a 10 pound range.

Tips from Cheryl: Exercise

Workout in your bedroom for 30 mins with weights. You don’t have to do a lot. But some type of exercise every day. It’s not hard: find what you like. Do some weight bearing exercise, such as pushups off a counter! For core; situps and stuff.
Find the best time you like to work out. Find an exercise you like and just do it. I will support you! I am your cheerleader! My goal is to help people get healthier!

Tips from Cheryl: Cooking

Learn to cook for yourself (just one). Maybe you are experiencing empty nest syndrome. Let me show you how to cook for a smaller family. I depend on my George Forman mini-grill!

Tips from Cheryl: Vitamins

When it comes to vitamins and supplements there are many good and bad ones on the market. Most people should be taking fish oil, antioxidants, probiotics, calcium and a multivitamins at a minimum. Make sure what you are taking is high in quality.

Last fall I started meeting with Cheryl with the desire to lose weight, cook healthier and exercise. Six months later I have achieved these goals. I have lost over 30 pounds, I cook recipes that Cheryl has given me that are healthy, and I exercise on a regular basis. My children have become very aware of the changes I have made and want to eat healthy when I am eating healthy. My entire family has been transformed by me working with Cheryl.
